European Aviation School (EAS) Barcelona, a new flight training school for both professional pilots and cabin crew, has selected Tecnam as its exclusive supplier of training aircraft.
The latest of these aircraft, a new Tecnam P2006T, was collected from Tecnam’s factory in Capua, Italy by EAS Barcelona’s Head of Training Jorge Garcia with Tecnam’s Spanish Dealer Alvaro Lapetra. P2006T EC-MNG joins two recently delivered Tecnam P.2002JF aircraft.
EAS Barcelona’s all Tecnam fleet of P2002JF’s and the P2006T will cover all flight training stages, from basic to the advanced IFR and multi-engine. All the aircraft are equipped with GARMIN ‘Glass Cockpit’ avionics.
EAS Barcelona’s fleet also includes a Softeksim simulator type FNPT II which replicates the Tecnam P2006T, as well as an Airbus 320 flight model for MCC Multi Crew Co-Operation courses.
EAS Barcelona says that it has opted for Tecnam after an extensive evaluation programme. Jorge Garcia, EAS Head of Training, said: “We were especially impressed by both the low operating costs and for the exceptional quality and responsiveness of Tecnam’s post-sales service.”
Walter Da Costa, Tecnam Global Sales and Marketing Director added: “Spain has always been an important market for Tecnam since the beginning. EAS Barcelona is the proof that an FTO with a smart business model can offers students the latest state-of-art machines and be profitable.”
