Improve your licences – flying bursaries

These awards provide 3-5 hours of advanced flight training in single-engine piston aeroplanes to assist licenced pilots to gain additional flying qualifications or renew a rating. There are no age limits.

Air League 1

The bursaries are intended to help Air League members who hold a valid pilot’s licence to gain additional flying qualifications or to renew a rating on their licence. Applicants must be permanently resident in the UK; hold a current pilot’s licence issued by the CAA – which includes a valid SEP (Land) aircraft rating and valid medical certification – and be a member of The Air League (or be applying to be a member at the time of application for the bursary).

Awards are made after consideration of the information given in the application form and confirmed by the enclosures.

The closing date for applications is Friday 16 February 2018.
