FTEJerez, the Spain-based professional flight training school, is offering a fully-sponsored flight instructor programme, the ‘FI Career Development programme (FICD)’.
Available to EU candidates who hold a current EASA CPL and Class 1 medical, successful applicants will be offered a fully sponsored FI rating with all training and accommodation costs covered by FTEJerez.
On completion of the FI rating the selected candidates will flow straight into a full-time position as an FTEJerez flight instructor (Single engine) on the same pay scale and benefits as standard FTEJerez entry level single engine FIs.
In addition to this initiative, earlier this year, FTEJerez held a recruitment drive for experienced Flight Instructors in South Africa. At the time, the company said that in particular for South African candidates, FTEJerez was prepared to offer the ideal candidates an EASA conversion and to sponsor their EU work permit.
After 3 years serving as an FTEJerez instructor, the selected FI’s will be supported to either develop their career further at FTEJerez or benefit from FTE’s career service and ties with a number of prominent airlines. Oscar Sordo, FTEJerez CEO, commented:

Applications for the FICD Programme are currently open. Following submission of the application, candidates will progress to an interview which will take place at FTE’s campus in Jerez, Spain. Successful candidates will commence an FI rating course either at FTEJerez or with a selected training partner in the UK.
FTEJerez say that regardless of training location for this rating, accommodation and all training fees will be covered by FTEJerez, deductible from salary through a 3 year reducing bond.
