Flybe is actively recruiting for ‘direct entry’ (that is, experienced pilots with airline experience) Captains to join the airline. In its interim management report released in November, Flybe announced a 12.8% increase in group revenue and the opening of its first non-UK base (Dusseldorf). The same report also noted that Flybe still has significant capacity growth in the market, but that “…shortages of trained pilots are emerging that put further strain on Flybe’s ability to grow the route network.”
