Alsim has announced the sale of an ALX simulator – Multi Engine Piston, Light Turboprop, Medium Turboprop and Medium Jet – to Tayside Aviation in Dundee.
“The ALX is a high quality device and the versatility of the simulator will allow us to develop an MPL with our partner airline.”
The Scottish training facility delivers the full time ATPL theory courses as well as the modular ATPL and Flying Instructor courses, and has held the RAF flying scholarship contract for 30 years continuously.
Tayside recently launched a BSc (Hons) Professional Aviation Pilot Practice degree, the first of its kind available in Scotland, with Middlesex University. Tayside also have a Pilot Placement Programme with Loganair who are involved in the BSc Degree course.
ALSIM has been developing and manufacturing FAA & EASA certified FNPT II & FNPT II MCC flight simulators since 1994. Today the company has more than 300 certified flight training simulators in service with over 220 clients worldwide.
The flight school already own an Alsim AL200 MCC.
