VA Welcomes First Titan Airways Cadets of the New Decade

VA Airline Training (VA) has welcome their first airline sponsored trainees of 2020 – a course of four Titan Airways cadets into training at their Cambridge training centre.

The cadets were welcomed along with two self-sponsored cadets by VA’s Managing Director Anthony Petteford, Titan Airways’ Pilot Manager Captain Matthew Wilson and other senior personnel from both VA and Titan Airways.

They now embark upon a programme of EASA multi-pilot training that has been sponsored by the airline, but also combines APS MCC and Type Rating training at Cambridge with VA, and Advanced (Multi-pilot) UPRT training with VA’s training partner Ultimate High Academy at Goodwood. The newly qualified pilots will commence line operations out of Titan Airways’ Stansted base in June 2020.

“We were extremely impressed by the number of high-quality applications we received; there were many deserving applicants and we very much hope to be able to offer more of them the same opportunity later this year,” said Captain Matthew Wilson, Pilot Manager for Titan Airways. “Today though, we are delighted to welcome Stephanie (Lenney), Gary (Field), Samuel (Van Schijndel) and Varon (Ramakrishnan) to our Titan Airways team.”

Anthony Petteford, VA’s Managing Director commented: “We are very proud of our long-standing relationship with Titan Airways and delighted to be part of this pioneering programme.

Titan Airways’ forward-thinking decision to embrace the three Multi-Pilot training elements of APS MCC, Advanced UPRT and Type Rating into one seamless programme, reflects our own approach to training and will ensure graduates from either Modular or Integrated routes are fully prepared for airline operations.

We look forward to working with Stephanie, Gary, Samuel and Varon; and welcoming more Titan Airways cadets to VA in the near future.”

VA will be hosting a careers event at their Cambridge Training Centre on 8 February 2020. More details via: https://va-airlinetraining.com/ .
