Ultimate High extends Rob Wildeboer scholarship with UPRT offering

Ultimate High is offering an Upset Recovery Training (UPRT) course in memory of Rob Wildeboer, former Goodwood Flying School Manager, who died last July after a sudden illness. The scholarship is offered in addition to those made available by Goodwood Flying School.
“He was a one-man institution at the Aerodrome, loved by all who came into contact with him and absolutely integral to everything done through the Goodwood aviation business,” said Mark Greenfield of Ulitmate High.
The UPRT training programme is desinged to help pilots avoid, recognise and recover from Flight Upsets resulting from Loss Of Control In Flight, described as the largest single challenge in General Aviation.
Comprising two flights of approximately 50 minutes each, Ultimate High says the flying programme can be tailored to individual requirements and also includes three hours of technical knowledge instruction.
Applicants will likely be PPL holders although this is not essential, Ultimate High advises, and must be at least 16 years old and hold the appropriate aviation medical. Scholarships are only available for training at Ultimate High and to be carried out during 2022.
To apply for a Rob Wildeboer UPRT Scholarship worth £795, application should be emailed [email protected] explaining in no more than 500 words why the applicant should be the one to benefit, and include brief details of previous flying experience.
