Spanish-based ATO FTEJerez has announced a new partnership with Kuwaiti airline Jazeera Airways.
Ahead of an announcement that sees FTEJerez becoming the airline’s exclusive training provider, the Kuwaiti Civil Aviation Authority has already implemented the necessary approval for FTEJerez to operate as a training organisation; a new milestone for the ATO.
The first 21 students are expected to arrive at the training provider’s “purpose-built, 45,000 sqm” residential campus in January and February 2023; the latest in a line of “more than 2,000 graduated pilots” who have passed through the ATO’s doors in the last 30 years.
Oscar Sordo, CEO of FTEJerez, noted he was “committed to contributing to the airline’s expansion”. Other Middle Eastern airlines also using FTEJerez as their exclusive training provider include Ethiad, Emirates, Qatar Airways and Middle East Airlines.
Jazeera Airways were established in 2004 and serve over 50 destinations across the Middle East, Central and South Asia, and Europe. Their current fleet includes eight Airbus A320-200s and eleven A320neos (of an order of 18) in service, with deliveries of eight A321neos expected to begin in 2023.
