The 2023 AeroExpo event – scheduled to be held over three days in June at Sywell aerodrome, Northamptonshire – will include a ‘Meet the LAA’ initiative as part of its programme.
Established in 2005 but returning for the first time post-pandemic, AvBuyer’s AeroExpo UK – billed as ‘The UK’s festival of aviation’ – will be held from Thursday 8 to Saturday 10 June 2023. Incorporating an “unrivalled choice in the latest general aviation aircraft, products and services,” the event combines a variety of exhibitors with over five thousand visitors, several hundred of whom are expected to fly in.
The Light Aircraft Association (LAA) will play a prominent role in this year’s show; an initiative which, as AeroExpo MD John Brennan explains, will “offer an added dimension to [the] event”. As part of a series of ‘Meet the LAA’ events scheduled throughout the year, an LAA display area at AeroExpo will “include aircraft and suppliers of specific interest to the homebuilt and sport flying sector”. Additionally, the LAA will help contribute to the programme of seminars scheduled to run across the three days, and LAA members will also benefit from half-price entry to the event.
“We look forward to contributing an extra dimension to AeroExpo,” noted Eryl Smith, Chairman of the LAA. “Our area of sport flying is one of the strongest and most robust areas of GA and we look forward to sharing out passion for ‘Flying for Fun’ with fellow enthusiasts”.
“With support from the LAA organisation we are delighted to be able to offer entrance at half-price to LAA members and continue to develop AeroExpo as the most important general aviation event in Northern Europe,” added John Brennan.
Alongside the fixed-wing focus of AeroExpo, the event will be co-located with RotorTech UK (with an emphasis on helicopters and UAVs) and Multi-Mission Expo (specialising in aerial work and special mission flying). For more information, please visit https://www.aeroexpo.co.uk/
