The Royal Aero Club Trust 2023 Bursaries closing 31 March

An update that the Royal Aero Club Trust will be closing its 2023 bursary applications on 31 March, with no applications to be accepted after that date.

As part of the organisation’s Flying For Youth programme, 25 bursaries were offered in 2022, as well as a number of additional grants worth up to £500 each.

The Royal Aero Club Trust’s Bursary Scheme was first established in 2002 “to provide financial assistance for those wishing to upgrade their existing qualification in a wide range of air sports and aviation related activities”. Bursaries are typically split across four categories; encompassing flying, flight simulator, aeromodelling and ‘advanced’ elements.

Although eligibility criteria vary between categories, candidates must hold British citizenship, be permanently resident in the UK, and be aged between 14-21 years old at the time of application and training (raised to 24 for Advanced Bursary applicants).

Applications may be made up until the end of the month via this link. Bursary offers will be made by letter, while unsuccessful applicants will be informed via email.
