Perth Airport based pilot academy ACS Flight Training has agreed a deal to purchase the ALSIM ALX flight simulator formerly owned by Tayside Aviation. This comes after administrators have revealed that they are investigating financial moves made by the school’s owner in the run-up to its collapse.
Having failed to achieve a sale of the school as a going concern, the administrators of recently closed flying school have been selling the company’s assets, including the schools fleet aircraft and simulator.
“ACS have been working with ALSIM for more than six years and the acquisition of this simulator shows that we are committed to providing our students and customers with the best technology available in the market today,” said aviation managing director at ACS, Graeme Frater.
“The new simulator will offer our student pilots and airline customers the opportunity to complete advanced simulator training allowing them to apply directly to the airlines after graduating. Airline customers and graduates can also utilise the simulator for inter- views and assessment preparation.”
The ALX purchased by ACS Flight Training offers advanced technology simulation to all specific training requirements including simulation of small twin engine aircraft up to the ATR42 regional aircraft.
