UWL Future Pilot Skills Event this Saturday (13 Jan 2024)

The University of West London (UWL), in partnership with FlightPad, is hosting a Future Pilot Skills Event this Saturday (13 January 2024) at UWL’s campus in Ealing, London.

The free to attend event is designed to provide aspiring commercial pilots with vital information on how to pursue a flying career, and features:

  • Aptitude skills assessment
  • Technical workshops demonstrating what a commercial pilot career really involves
  • Access to simulators from home-based to a fixed base 737 for free
  • Opportunity to meet a representatives from a selection of UK and EU flight schools to learn about the training courses they offer
  • Opportunity to discuss your career options with experienced pilots and current trainees
  • Loads of free or discounted products and competitions where you can win flying and simulator time, as well as equipment to help you learn
  • Speaker sessions to give you direction on the skills required

Likely of particular interest to prospective pilots will be the attendance of TUI’s pilot recruitment team, who have recently re-opened their fully-sponsored Multi-Crew Pilot Licence (MPL) training programme, which puts successful applicants with zero flying experience through a fully-funded training programme leading to 737 First Officer positions with the airline.
