FTEJerez to celebrate 25 years by hosing Alumni Celebration

Pilot training academy FTEJerez has announced that it will be celebrating its 25th anniversary this May in Jerez, southern Spain.

Since having relocated from Prestwick, Scotland in 1999 to sunnier climes, the school reports that it has graduated over 3,000 pilots through its various training programmes and has recently commenced its 250th training course.

To mark the occasion, FTE is hosting an Alumni Celebration at the Atalaya Museum in Jerez on 03 May. Invites have apparently already been sent to alumni, but the school advises that some of the more senior graduates may not have received an invitation due to the academy not having a
current email on record.

To any readers who are FTEJerez alumni and without an invite, the FTEJerez management team invites you to visit FTEJerez for more info and to RSVP.

The FTEJerez team says: “We’re thrilled to announce that we’re celebrating our 25th anniversary in Jerez this year! Let’s come together for an evening of camaraderie and nostalgia before the 2024 Feria del Caballo kicks off the next day!”

Ahead of its 25th birthday bash, the academy recently celebrated the graduation of four training courses at the historic Bodega González Byass in Jerez. The 22 March event marked a significant milestone in the lives of 31 cadets, with a number of them graduating from sponsored programmes run on behalf of Aer Lingus, Iberia, and Vueling, as well as self-sponsored pilot graduates.

During the graduation ceremony, Oscar Sordo, CEO of FTEJerez, highlighted the pivotal moment that the industry is experiencing and the level of job placement the school currently maintains.

He also expressed gratitude to the sponsoring airlines for their trust in FTEJerez, particularly in this significant year as the school celebrates its 25th anniversary in Jerez.
