Helicentre Aviation Academy is inviting promising professional helicopter pilots to apply for its 2024 commercial helicopter pilot [CPL(H)] Scholarship.
In the past the UK helicopter operator has awarded over £1m in training scholarships, sponsorships and bursaries to dozens of trainee helicopter pilots since 2013.
Previous scholarship recipients are now employed in a diverse range of helicopter flying roles, including helicopter emergency medical services (HEMS), offshore energy, search and rescue (SAR), utility and pilot training.
The 2024 scholarship programme will offer PPL(H) holders, who have already completed their training with Helicentre, the chance to apply for ‘full-funding’ of their hour building and CPL(H) training course.
According to Helicentre the scholarship is worth about £70,000, and gives successful applicants access to a diverse range of career pathways.
Helicentre was founded in 2001 by Chris and Katie Line and originally was based at Coventry Airport before moving its headquarters to Leicester Airport. More recently and earlier this year the operator began operations at London Oxford Airport.
Today Helicentre owns and operates a fleet of modern Cabri G2 and Robinson R44 helicopters and operates a large onshore gas pipeline contract in the UK.
