FTEJerez opens applications for Ryanair Future Flyer Academy

Spanish ATO FTEJerez has opened applications for the Ryanair Future Flyer Academy.

The Future Flyer Academy, previously known as the Ryanair Mentored Programme, aims to train over 400 aspiring pilots in the next four years. The programme provides three distinct training paths, catering to individuals with varying levels of experience.

FTEJerez is starting its Ryanair programme with the Integrated Ab-Initio Path, which offers a comprehensive full-time programme designed for candidates with little to no flying experience. Candidates selected for this course will receive extensive training, including a complete EASA and/or UK CAA ATPL programme, culminating in a Boeing 737 type rating with Ryanair.

Ryanair says that graduates from the Future Flyer Academy will also receive a guaranteed final assessment under an exclusive fast-tracked recruitment process and will be given preference during initial selection.

Additionally, Ryanair says that programme graduates will have an advantage at the interview and assessment stage, having been taught using Ryanair procedures during their training, including exposure to airline’s safety culture and operational philosophy from day one of their training.

Upon successful completion of the programme, graduates are guaranteed positions as Second Officers at Ryanair, subject to necessary checks and requirements.

FTEJerez will also be offering Gateway 1 and Gateway 2 training pathways, opening later this year. The Gateway 1 programme is a modular route designed for candidates who wish to spread out their training due to being unable to complete a fulltime training course. This pathway is suitable for trainees who hold a PPL, 100 Hours pilot in command (PIC) and who have competed ATPL theory exams. The final option is Gateway 2, which provides a Ryanair APS MCC module suitable for CPL holders with ME/IR and ATPL theory completed.

A total of six schools are now delivering one or more of Ryanair’s Future Flyer Academy training programmes. In addition to FTEJerez, these are Airline Flight Academy (Dublin, Ireland), Atlantic Flight Training Academy (Cork, Ireland), Astonfly (Toussus le Noble, France), Aviomar (Rome, Italy) and Bartolini Air (Lodz, Poland).
