FTEJerez updates single-engine fleet

FTEJerez has announced a new fleet agreement with Piper Aircraft for the acquisition of 20 brand-new Piper Archer DX, with deliveries of the 10 first units already underway.

“Our acquisition of these brand-new Piper Archer DX aircraft is a testament to FTE’s commitment to excellence in aviation training,” said Oscar Sordo, CEO of FTEJerez. “Having successfully operated older Piper Warrior aircraft for many years, we have a proven track record with Piper as a reliable aircraft supplier. The Archer DX will enhance our training capabilities and ensure that our students receive the best possible training in a modern, sustainable, and efficient flying environment.”

The Piper Archer series has a proven record for reliability, making them a trusted choice for flight schools. The DX variant is powered by a Jet A1 burning Continental CD-155 powerplant with Full Authority Digital Engine Control (FADEC) system, burning around 22ltrs of diesel fuel per hour, offering a significant saving over their AVGAS-burning equivalents. The aircraft are fitted with MT three-bladed props, have advanced safety features, modern avionics and a modern design, making them a popular trainer for flight schools worldwide. With this expansion, FTEJerez says it is continuing to lead in delivering the highest standards of aviation training while embracing more sustainable solutions.

“Expanding into the European market with FTEJerez underscores Piper Aircraft’s commitment to supporting top-tier pilot training,” said John Calcagno, President and CEO of Piper Aircraft. “The Archer DX delivers the reliability, performance, and efficiency required to meet the demands of students and airline partners alike.”
