BA Speedbird Academy opens for applications

British Airways has opened applications for its highly anticipated Speedbird Academy today, returning this year with a record 200 places up for grabs.

The application window is open for a maximum of 10 days until 21 February and based on previous intakes, competition is likely to be fierce to secure one of the 200 fully-funded cadetships with the British flag carrier.

Successful candidates who make it all the way through the rigorous application process will train with one of BA’s two selected Approved Training Organisations, FTEJerez located at Jerez de la Frontera Airport in Spain, or Skyborne Airline Academy headquartered at Gloucestershire Airport in the UK.

Lucy Silvester, BA pilot recruitment manager, says: “Speedbird Pilot Academy really is an opportunity to level the playing field and dream big with some of the best flight training academies in the industry.”
