FTA Global appoint new strategic adviser

UK-based training provider FTA Global has confirmed the appointment of Anthony Petteford as its new Strategic Adviser; the first step in the school’s plan for “both attracting and making significant future capital investment in UK pilot training”.

With 26 years’ experience in the aviation industry, including leading and investing in ab initio brands including Oxford Aviation Academy (now CAE) and L3Harrris (previously CTC Aviation), FTA believe Petteford is “well-placed” to support the training provider’s “strategic growth ambitions”.

Noting the evolution in pilot training approaches since his own early industry involvement in the 1990s, Petteford says he has been “proud to help create and launch initiatives that support and benefit both pilots and airlines”; experience he hopes to bring to FTA. “I see huge value in the UK modular training environment, and look forward to belping to build upon FTA’s strategic emphasis on the qualities of being ‘Trained in Britain’”, he adds.

All of FTA’s flight and ground school training is delivered from a single site (Brighton City Airport) based on the south coast of England, and its courses attract students from across the globe.
