A new partnership between BCFT and Egnatia is offering a Zero – Frozen ATPL programme that they say has been specifically designed to supply aspiring first officers with affordable, continuous modular training.

Bob McGuire, MD of BCFT said: “It is well known that the training standards in the UK are some of the highest in the world, however UK pricing can be prohibitively expensive for some trainee pilots. The positive aspect of this partnership with Egnatia Aviation is that it stands to benefit the student both in terms of training quality and cost.”

Dimitris Lymperakis, MD of Egnatia Aviation, added: “Egnatia Aviation’s mission is to ensure quality, professional and affordable flight training and we saw these same principles in BCFT. This partnership will compliment both organisations’ portfolio of training options and further demonstrate our commitment to our customers.”

BCFT is one of the UK’s oldest privately owned flight training organisations. Originally opened in 1932 as Bournemouth Flying Club, the organisation has been at Bournemouth International Airport on the South Coast since 2002. Egnatia Aviation was established in 2005 and starting training in Greece in 2006. Egnatia are based at the Kavala International Airport.

The new partnership will be providing training services from both Bournemouth Airport in the UK and Kavala International Airport in Greece. BCFT and Egnatia say that students will have the opportunity to train in various aircraft types including Piper PA28 and PA28R’s, the Beechcraft Duchess BE76 and Diamond DV20, DA40 and DA42 models.
