L3 Commercial Training Solutions (L3 CTS) – parent company of CTC Aviation – has announced a partnership with Surrey County Council for the development and construction of a purpose-built airline training centre and production facility for airline simulators. The new training facility, to be named ‘L3 London Training Center’, is scheduled to become operational in the second quarter of 2018. The two new operations will have a combined area of more than 150,000 square feet and will be co-located on a five-acre site close to London Gatwick Airport.

The London Training Centre will be equipped with eight full flight simulators; fixed-based simulators; briefing rooms and classrooms; meeting rooms; and a restaurant. The production facility will provide manufacturing capacity for 30 simulators per year and will include office space for more than 300 employees.
