ACS Aviation 2024 PPL Flying Scholarship

Scottish commercial pilot training academy ACS Aviation is continuing its flying scholarship scheme in 2024 and has recently opened the application process.

The Perth Airport based Approved Training Organisation is offering 10 hours of flight training towards a Private Pilot Licence (PPL) to successful applicants to the scholarship, as well as 12 months school membership and a Bose A20 headset worth over £1,000.00.

ACS Aviation has announced it will be running the scholarship for a fifth year in 2024, adding to the schools well-established and highly successful Flight Instructor Sponsorship Programme.

The scholarships will be granted with the aim of supporting individuals who might otherwise not have the necessary resources to gain flying experience and ultimately achieve their PPL. There are two flying scholarships available worth £4250 each that will cover all aspects of training up to licence issue for a candidate who is prepared to dedicate a part of the summer to training towards a private pilot licence (PPL).

These scholarships can take a candidate with little or no experience to flying an aircraft solo during a consolidated period in the summer of 2024. The scholarship is targeted at those who aim to progress onto a professional career within the aviation industry such as commercial airline pilot.

Applications for the ACS Aviation flying scholarships are open until 15 March 2024. Pre-entry requirements include:

• Must have the right to live and work in the UK
• Must be at least 17 years old on 15 March 2024
• Must be available for training between 01 April – 31 August 2024

Applicants must attend the Pilot Careers and Flight Training Seminar in Glasgow held on the 23 March 2024 as the awards will be announced at this event.

ACS Aviation adds that scholarships will be offered to applicants that can demonstrate a passion for aviation and learning to fly with ACS Aviation, and who manage to attract a large response on social media with their aviation videos or pictures.
